How do I book a service?

Accepted Answer

Please contact us and we will send you a booking form along with our availability and quote. Simply fill out the booking information, sign and email it to us along with your deposit payment. A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. The full balance is due no later than 14 days prior to performance. If you have to reschedule your event, please let us know at least 2 weeks in advance, and we will roll over your deposit towards any future date free of charge. You may modify your setlist up to 1 week prior to the event day.

What are your ensemble options?

We have extensive repertoire prepared for string quartet, string trio, violin-cello or violin duet and solo instruments. The recommended ensemble size for your event depends on the venue, budget, and music genre preference. If you are having trouble deciding which ensemble would suit your event, we would be happy to assist you.

Question 3

What is dress code for the musicians?

While the standard attire for our ensembles is concert black, you can request more or less formal wear for the musicians depending on the mood of the event.

Do you play outdoor events?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we do. However, in order to perform to our high standards and to protect our weather-sensitive instruments, there are restrictions in which we can perform outdoors. For a quartet, appropriate shade, either two large parasols or full coverage by dense, non-shedding trees, must be provided. However, trees that drop fruit, sap, or other debris are not considered suitable. In the event of rain or high winds, a waterproof, three-walled tent with a minimum of 48 square feet is required to ensure the safety of the instruments and musicians. Please note that tree coverage alone is not an adequate protection in wet conditions.

When the temperature falls below 60 degrees, industrial restaurant-style heaters must be provided. Outdoor performances are not possible if the temperature falls to 50 degrees Fahrenheit or below, even with heaters present. In such conditions, musicians must be relocated indoors. We highly recommend thoroughly planning for an indoor alternative in case of weather below 60 or above 95 degrees.

Do you charge for making setlists and creating custom arrangements?

We understand that time is of the essence and will be glad to assist in the planning and selection of the music free of charge.

We also welcome special requests. If we can't find sheet music for the requested song, we can create a custom arrangement for you for a fee. Custom arrangement starts at $250 per song. Please let us know at least 4 weeks in advance for any custom arrangements.

Question 6

Could someone join you for a song during the set?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! We’re often asked to accompany a family member or loved one in performing a meaningful song—an addition that brings such a heartfelt and personal touch to the moment. Just let us know who will be joining us, and our musicians will be delighted to support them and make the experience truly special. We normally allow a 15-minute grace period before the start of the event, and you can use that time for a quick "rehearsal". If more time is needed, we will charge a fee for the rehearsal on the event day.

Question 7

What are your pricing and tipping policies?

Accepted Answer

A typical service ranges from $400 - $700 per musician. These rates vary based on event location, ensemble size and duration of service. This fee covers all travel costs, preparations and set-up time. We believe in performing our best at any service and thus we do not charge extra for wedding events.

Gratuities are customary and typically average 10-15% percent of the overall fee. 100% of the tips go directly to the performers. You can tip on the day of or after the event, in person or online. However, tips are dependent on your satisfaction with the service provided and are at your individual discretion. More than anything, we thank you for supporting local musicians and including live music in your celebration!
